Delicate bell-shaped flowers in April-May give this plant its other common name of Snowbell. With strongly keeled, glossy-green leaves, it is very distinctive. Native to the Mediterranean area it was first introduced into cultivation here in 1759 and has become established in some parts of the country. All parts of the plants (flowers, leaves and bulbs) are edible. Very hardy. H 18cm
