One of my favourites; an unusual but easily grown deciduous tree with heart-shaped green leaves that turn yellow, orange and pink in autumn, the fallen leaves smell of candyfloss! Newly emerging foliage is coppery-pink before becoming vibrant green all summer. Fully hardy, grows well in sun or dappled shade and will grow in most well drained soils but also does well in our damp clay. The best autumn colour is produced when grown in acidic soil and a sheltered position will protect its early spring leaves from frost. H&S 20m x 15m (5m x 4m after 25 years)
