 An unusual woodland plant from south-eastern Europe.  Naturally grows in deciduous woodland, particularly beech, that will be damp in winter and spring then dry in summer.  Very hardy.  Dark violet-brown flowers on long hanging stems in late winter/early spring.  Belongs to the potato or Solanaceae family so it is toxic if eaten.  H&S 60cm
