Reddish-purple flowers are held on slender stems above the attractive foliage. A wonderful plant for pollinators. Likes sun and well drained soil. Very hardy. H&S 30cm. For many years this plant was used in churchyards to prevent activity by ghosts in addition to being used as a dye for wool and also as an old herbal medicine.
