Snowdrop Weekend 2025: Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th February 10am - 3pm (Booking essential)
Enjoy the earliest spring flowers and drifts of snowdrops, both in the garden and on the walks around the wildlife ponds and orchard.
The Old Byre Tearoom will be open for you to enjoy a warming bowl of soup, hot drinks and a selection of home-made cakes and scones.
A small selection of plants (and snowdrops) will be for sale.
Booking is required with morning or afternoon slots available. Booking will open in early 2025.
Scilla (Chionodoxa) National Plant Collection Open Weekend 2025: Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th March 10am - 4pm
An opportunity to view the National Collection of these delightful spring flowering bulbs, in addition to exploring the garden as it comes back to life after the winter.
The Old Byre Tearoom will be open for you to enjoy a warming bowl of soup, hot drinks and a selection of home-made cakes and scones.
Meconopsis National Plant Collection Open Weekend 2025: Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th May 10am - 4pm
Enjoy the spectacular display of Himalayan Blue Poppies and find out more about these beautiful plants. The National Plant Collection of Meconopsis (George Sherriff Group & related M. gakyidiana) are planted out in a display bed in the woodland garden while many other species and cultivars are planted in mixed borders around the garden.
The Old Byre Tearoom will be open and serving freshly baked scones, home-made cakes and hot & cold drinks.
Christmas Wreath Workshops
Join Helen in the Potting Shed for a morning or afternoon of festive creativity, with seasonal refreshments.

Make your own beautiful wreath to take home, using fresh, seasonal foliage from Helens' garden. Price £40 per person, al materials included.
