Visiting Tinnisburn Plants
The Nursery, Garden & Tearoom
**We are currently closed to visitors for the winter - reopening 1 April 2025**
You'll discover more than just a plant nursery. Explore our garden and wildflower meadows, and enjoy a treat in The Old Byre Tearoom.
Admission to garden £5 (under 16's free) with a percentage of the proceeds going to charities supported by Scotland's Garden Scheme.
Season Ticket £10.
If you're just calling in to visit the nursery or tearoom there is no admission fee.
We open the nursery to visitors from 1st April to 31st August, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
If you want to arrange a private visit by individuals or a group, please get in touch. These can be outside our usual opening hours.
Visitors to the nursery are always welcome, where a wide choice of plants is available. Because we specialise in selling plants which are a little out of ordinary, you're likely to find something you've not encountered before and which will add wonderful variety to your garden.
If you have a question about visiting us, please message us.
Travelling to Tinnisburn Plants
If using sat-nav please be aware that it will direct you to a neighbouring farm, Albierigg, and not here.
Please note that the nursery is located up a 1.5 mile track (no tarmac) While we do our best to fill in the potholes it is best to drive slowly and carefully (especially in cars with very low ground clearance).
The stretch of road between the A7 Hollows turn off (via Claygate) is currently very busy with forestry traffic and the surface is badly pot-holed. We would strongly recommend coming to the us via Canonbie, turning onto the B6318 at Harelaw.
You can also buy from our online shop. We deliver, via courier, across the UK.
