A very impressive and eyecatching plant, native to wet areas in eastern North America. It has no petals, the clouds of tiny white flowers are threadlike stamens are carried on tall, branching stems in mid-late summer. Very hardy. Likes sun and moist soil. H&S 200cm x 60cm (6ft x 24in).
